We caught up with one of our leading members of the #VIBETRIBE, Megan Hillard (@curves_curlsandclothes) to see what she was all about. Megan is a Plus Size blogger/model from Huntsville, Alabama. Check her out below!
Tell us about yourself and your blog.
"I have been a graphic designer since I was 16 years old, I started as an intern. I love the art world in general but I wanted to do more. I had always had a passion for style and trying new looks but I had struggled with my weight and confidence for years. After learning how to embrace my body and love myself, I started Curves, Curls and Clothes about 4 years ago. I wanted a way to connect with other Plus Size women who love clothes and fashion as much as I do. I also wanted to promote body positivity and confidence through awesome clothes and not worrying about society’s beauty standards."
What are some of your hobbies?
"Shopping, of course. I LOVE boxing and it is something I try to get in as much as possible, it keeps me sane and my stress level down. I also try to spend as much time with my nieces and nephew as possible. I am still in school, finishing my master’s degree in the summer. When I do have free time, not doing homework, I’m blogging, shooting or with my family and friends."
What do you think of when you hear the words “Vibe Apparel Co”?
"When I think of Vibe Apparel Co, I think of a community of badasses wearing bomb clothes!"
How do you feel when you put on a Vibe Apparel Co dress?
"I feel girly and sexy in Vibe Apparel Co dresses. They are fun to wear! There are tons of prints to pick from so anyone can find something to fit their #VIBE!"
How would you describe the quality/fit/feel of the average Vibe Apparel Co dress?
"I have 4 dress from Vibe Apparel Co and I love them all! They fit my curves wonderfully and I rock them often. I have washed them multiple times and they all still look great."
What’s your #VIBE?
"I would say my #VIBE is different depending on my mood! I can go from glam & girly to sporty & street style within the same day."
How does it feel to be a leading member for the #VIBETRIBE?
"I am honored to be part of the #VIBETRIBE! Every time I wear one of their pieces people always ask me where my dress is from!"
What is your favorite accessory for spring?
"My favorite accessory for spring are a pair of boss shades. I have TONS of sunglasses and at any given time probably have 4 different pair in my purse."
Describe your style in 3 words.
"Sexy, Daring, Unapologetic.
What is your favorite trend right now? What is your least favorite?
"My favorite trends are florals and shoulders out!! Florals are LIFE right now! My closet looks like a garden exploded in it! If it is floral and open shoulder, I must own it. Least favorite is probably pompoms, they are putting pompoms on EVERYTHING right now and it’s not doing anything for me."
